LOL I've seen the bumps in Florida, and they actually ARE humps. Not even a bump. haha v

Chrisann Ellis replied:

So True! They are huge but it helps the drivers to slow down... Thank you for your support and glad you had a good lol

Wow, speed HUMP, interesting, of course it is BUMP where I live! But that is your point of the picture, yes? Love it.. I love LINGO and local words and accents.. I collect 'ACCENTS".. anyways.. I see your sense of humor is back.. or maybe it never left? hehe.. FV

Chrisann Ellis replied:

Thank You so much Kym. The first time I noticed this sign, I double looked like what? But it is funny and had to take a shot :) Thank you for all your support lol

Clever girl, you! These appear in PA and MA, too, and although they always seem to be a silly way top describe these vehicle torture devices (sometimes called speed tables - go figure), I never thought to take a picture!!! Excellent mind you have:>) V/F

Chrisann Ellis replied:

Thank You So Much Carol!.. I thought it was fun!. :):)

Well Chrisann, there is a reason they call us Floridiots...lol.no offense to my fellow Floridians, we southerners are a bit removed Y'all.... too funny, really I've never seen a sign that says hump here, maybe it is exactly as David suspects...fv

Chrisann Ellis replied:

Sharon...Lol! I wish you could have seen my puzzled face and asking my son, hum.. is this correct.... to funny!.. Thank you so much :)

Chrisann, It is funny that they call them humps instead of bumps. I like all your street signs. F/V

Chrisann, Too funny! They have these signs in Palm Springs too, and they always give us a laugh when we drive around there. Although, the "humps" are literally a pain in the neck! voted

Chrisann Ellis replied:

Cheri, If you could have seen my face, with a look of confusion, and I had to ask my son, is this correct.. lol.. Thank You :)

Gregory Scott

How thoughtful of them to put that in for the teens. A neighborhood near me has both warnings "speed bumps", "speed humps". Perhaps they are trying to control two different issues.

Chrisann Ellis replied:

Gregory, Lol! Most likely, thank you :)

Love it! We're Floridians, but have not seen these! We'll watch for them! Great shot! v

Chrisann Ellis replied:

Bob and Nancy Thank you so much! It would be fun if you found one to.. :)

You know, the more I think about it, Chrisann, we Floridians have a different way, don't we? I'm starting to think they may differentiate between the classic bump that jars you and those wide bumps that I hate even more because you don't see them until you're sailing over them through the air and about to be thrown out of your car...Maybe that's just a personal observation. lol Perhaps, they call that a HUMP??? It would help if I had been born here and not just lived here for 15 years.

Chrisann Ellis replied:

Lil, I use to live in Florida and I deal with them here to. I truly can't stand them but then it protects our children with these fast drivers today always being in a hurray. But this was across my sons house, and I kept thinking I am not reading this right... and my son says mom they call them humps here.... and I said since when... lol.... so great to hear from you!

Florida is sure different than my state. When i share i'll be sure to include some things that are like this. Travel dollars rule there and be carefull to ask lots of ? or they will lie and boom its gone. The money that you don't expect. Thank goodness we only were scammed once.

Chrisann Ellis replied:

Connie Thank You and cant' wait to see your travel photographs. :)

Haha!!! Got a great laugh out of that, Chrisann!! Fantastic! Reminds me of a card I saw today that said "Nas Car" (two rednecks talking about a nice car for those of you who don't speak Southern). At the bottom, it said at this time, "Nascar" was invented. ;)

Chrisann Ellis replied:

Lil How funny! So glad I made you laugh and same here. Thank you again :)
